There’s a lot to love about this model, but there are also some things that we didn’t like.

To start with, we didn’t feel that we should have to set up the bridge and tune it ourselves. Now, we do understand that many musical instruments are sent out this way. We feel that something marketed as being for beginners should be playable out of the box

The bows that are provided are okay, but not great. You’ll probably want to switch yours out for a more professional-level bow at a later stage.

We did think that they could have provided a bigger cake of rosin as well. What’s included will be enough to rosin the bow, but it won’t last long past that.

Overall, we found that the ADM Starter Violin Kit was a good deal. Even if you account for having to replace the bow, you’re still saving a bundle of money. It’s a great model to use when you’re starting. You can get a real feeling for the instrument without having to spend a fortune.
